Info
about the artist: Morro
(German, b. 1925)
Ingfried Henze, called Morro, was born in 1925 in the
beautiful European city of Leipzig. Before the advent
of World War II, he studied painting at Leipzig’s Fine
Arts Academy. Following the war, he continued his education
by studying under Professors Schinnerer and Gott of the
Fine Arts Academy of Munich, Germany.
Possessing
a truly gypsy soul, Morro began to travel extensively
upon finishing his studies. After a long sojourn in Tangier,
he returned to Europe and exhibited his works in Paris,
Stockholm, London, and in several German cities. He has
also successfully shown his works in Havana, Cuba, as
well as throughout the United States: Philadelphia, Detroit,
New York and Los Angeles.
Morro’s
delicate brush work and subdued, pastel palette are soothing
to the eye. Romantic and ethereal, his soft floral compositions
create a peaceful atmosphere in any setting.
Currently
residing in Italy, Morro enjoys a successful career as
a contemporary artist.
