About the Syrik Family
A Ukrainian family effort for the love of art

The story behind this incredible family of artists is very unique. All members of the family (including the two children) assist in the creation of the artworks in some fashion. The result is a true family effort. As to the painters: the husband's name is Syrik Vasyl, his wife's name is Syrik Vika.

This Ukrainian family produces a wide range of artworks showing intricate detail as well as more contemporary style and design. What is probably most interesting about this family is that they built the house shown in the picture completely with found materials and mud they made for mortar. It is a true "back to basics" lifestlye that is simply remarkable - especially given the extreme temperatures that are common through the Ukrainian winter.
